    I can't play some DVD's at my computer's DVD-player.

    I can't play movies like:
    Matrix Reloaded
    Big Momma's House

But there are more "cheap" DVDs that I can play.

    What is the problem?

    P.S.
    My DVD-player is Toshiba SD-M1502

    Thanks,
    Izik

  2. Maybe it's stupid to say this but:
Do these DVDs have the same Region Code as your DVD player?

Can't come up with more...just tryin to help

  5. I've noticed that certain drives don't like certain colored media. The DVD's with just a little 'tint' to them seem to play the best.

I have 2 Toshiba drives 1401, and 1712, but both read Matrix Reloaded.

I wonder if there is a firmware solution?

It is very likely your dvd-rom drive.
I had a toshiba 1612 that would read some dvd's and not others.
I even took it apart and cleaned the laser, but the problem persisted.
My buddy has a toshiba 1712 and has the very same problem.
I replaced the toshiba with a lite-on 166s and all my problems
disappeared. If you have a friend with a dvd-rom that isnt a toshiba
try playing your touchy dvd's in there and verify that they work fine.
Hope this was of some help
