  2. best bet is to redo the movie. My questions would be what application did you use to rip and then convert. If you are planning on putting the mpeg as a VCD/CVD/SVCD or what????? If it is one of those, the size is actually 800 meg. How far over the 800 number are you?????

  3. Well, if you want the easiest/convenient method with 'decent' quality, use DVDShrink. <---- Look just to the left on this page under HOW TO>GUIDES and do a search on DVDShrink.. just follow the guide that makes most sense to you.

Also, I strongly suggest you buy some blank DVD-R media, which holds ~4.37Gb of video/audio data (MPEG2). Putting the finished DVDShrink product onto a 700MB CD-R won't work.. You'd have to convert the MPEG2 files (DVD-compliant) to MPEG1 files (VCD and... SVCD??), which would most likely comprise video quality even more than already with DVDShrink...

Do a little reading up on this stuff b/c people might come out and start ripping on you for asking such a basic questions. good luck and ask if you've any more questions (after reading up a little, that is.. .
