    ever time try 2 open a file i get this Unable to download an appropriate decompressor. (Error=80040200) and i was just wondering wat codec i need or wat i need 2 help this issue im running the file through media player

    Common WMP problem. A typically nice MS feature, this auto downloading codecs, if it would ever work. Check your AVI (if that is what you're trying to open) with GSpot. It will tell you what codecs you need to play it.
