What's the difference between these two capture cards.... apart from the price.... does the Hollywood DV still capture from an Analogue source direct to Mpeg1 + Mpeg 2 formats ??

Dazzle DVC2 does hardware encoding to mpeg1 and mpeg2 formats using an analog source. It requires installing a card into the computer.
The DV Bridge converts analog to DV format video which can be transferred to the computer through Firewire (IEEE1394). The resulting DV file is in AVI format, very large (3.6M/sec) and needs to be encoded to mpg/mpg2 for VCD / SVCD production.
