I am currently working on synching a video which currently exists as an AVI movie and a seperate wav file. I have noticed that the wav file is 3 seconds longer than my video. I have used VDub and have of course run into synch problems.
I am currently going through a guide on doom9's website that is using a wav editor and VDub. It mentions using a util called synch.exe which is run, supposedly, by typing command (I have Win98SE) in the Run area on the startup menu and running the program from there. THe guide is under the VirtualDub procedures guide list under Manual synching (Titled Alternative method).
I don't want to use TMPGenc at this point either. I also have been unsuccessful in producing good results with the framerate change (I seem to have gotten good results in the beginning of the video, then bad at the middle, then great at the end if that is possible.
The audio and video start out great but then get worse and I forget the name of that type of asynch. I also am looking for a good wav editor like CoolEdit. I can't run the new Soundforge or Adobe Auditon demos b/c I run Win98. Any ideas? Can I get an older CoolEdit demo or is there some god freeware out there?
Thanks for your help everyone!
