  1. What is the difference between mp3 format and wma format?

    And which is better?

    i've done some sound tests and wma is better than mp3, wma claims to be a bitrate notch above mp3, so if there was a 64 wma and a 96 mp3, according to wut i've heard they would be the same in quality.

    i should probably add there's something fairly new with the extention .ogg and the codec in the sounds is called vorbis (OGG Vorbis) and its the all time best i've ever heard (double the quality of mp3 for the same bitrate)

    so u might want to check that out, its pretty kool
