I have a nice kid's story program on my computer that has animation and sound. Is there any way to run the program and capture the video/sound into a video file? I could then make it into a DVD or VCD to play on the TV. The program does not have any recognizable video or sound file formats in it's directory.

I have not tried it but the description sounds as if it would suit your situation.
