  1. I'm trying to put together a .mov & .srt on a SVCD but the Option (Decode with mplayer) dosen't seem to be working to well, actually at all.

    I open .mov, go to Quick Presets SVCD, go to Filters Check Subtitles, Burn, Load subs .srt, go to Options Check Decode with mplayer, ENCODE.

    In about 30 seconds I end up with Finished but it isn't.
    What gives does anyone know? The INFO READS something like this!

    /bin/sh: -c: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token `('
    /bin/sh: -c: line 1: `printf "Encoding started on " && date && /Applications/ffmpegx/ffmpegX.app//Contents/Resources/mencvcdX /Users/----------/Desktop/movie -a 2 -abr 224 -asr 44100 -size 576x304 -vbr 1581 -vfr 3 -quant 6 -cdsize 9999 -w /Users/------------/Desktop/-------------------.mov -aid 0 -sub '/Users/------------/Desktop/--------------------------------------.srt' && /Applications/ffmpegx/ffmpegX.app//Contents/Resources/mplex -V -f 4 -O 0 -b 230 -o /Users/------------/Desktop/movie.mpg /Users/------------/Desktop/movie.mpv /Users/-----------/Desktop/movie.mpa && /Applications/ffmpegx/ffmpegX.app//Contents/Resources/mpgtx -s -P -N -2 /Users/----------/Desktop/movie.mpg -b /Users/-----------/Desktop/movie.mpg && /usr/bin/vcdxgen -q -t svcd --nopbc -o /Users/-----------/Desktop/movie.mpg.1.xml /Users/----------/Desktop/movie.mpg-1.mpg && /usr/bin/vcdxbuild -q --cdrdao-file=/Users/-----------/Desktop/movie.mpg-1 /Users/----------/Desktop/movie.mpg.1.xml && rm /Users/----------/Desktop/movie.mpg.1.xml && rm /Users/----------/Desktop/movie.mpg-1_02_pregap.img && /usr/bin/vcdxgen -q -t svcd --nopbc -o /Users/----------/Desktop/movie.mpg.2.xml /Users/-----------/Desktop/movie.mpg-2.mpg && /usr/bin/vcdxbuild -q --cdrdao-file=/Users/-----------/Desktop/movie.mpg-2 /Users/----------/Desktop/movie.mpg.2.xml && rm /Users/-----------/Desktop/movie.mpg.2.xml && rm /Users/------------/Desktop/movie.mpg-2_02_pregap.img && printf "Encoding completed on " && date && printf "\a"'

    If I try to ENCODE the .mov by it's self with Option mplayer I get this INFO.

    /bin/sh: -c: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token `('
    /bin/sh: -c: line 1: `printf "Encoding started on " && date && /Applications/ffmpegx/ffmpegX.app//Contents/Resources/mencvcdX /Users/---------/Desktop/movie -a 2 -abr 224 -asr 44100 -size 480x576 -vbr 2500 -vfr 3 -quant 6 -cdsize 700 -w /Users/----------/Desktop/---------------(2003).mov -aid 0 && /Applications/ffmpegx/ffmpegX.app//Contents/Resources/mplex -V -f 4 -O 0 -b 230 -o /Users/------------/Desktop/movie-%d.mpg /Users/------------/Desktop/movie.mpv /Users/--------------/Desktop/movie.mpa && /Applications/ffmpegx/ffmpegX.app//Contents/Resources/au.sh /Users/---------------/Desktop/movie && printf "Encoding completed on " && date && printf "\a"'

    what gives i don't know maybe you do. this is my first time trying to do this subtitle thing.IF anybody could help it would be much appretiated

  2. Remove all those spaces and special characters like ( ) in your filenames and folder names.

  3. Thank You, for your reply and know how!! YOU Rock! YES it's working, but I guess you knew that. Yes I forget that ffmpegX doesn't like spaces in file or folder names. I didn't think of odd characters. thank you vary much.

    ffmpegX rocks thank you so much!!!!

    P.S. Iwas messing around before I got your message. I made it work by opening MPlayer dumping the .mov & .srt files in it then doing what I explained and it worked with out taking any characters out.

    BUT I LIKE YOU YOUR WAY MUCH BETER AND EASYER TOO. LESS STEPS YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. THANKS AGAIN!
