My objective is to fit a dvd movie( about 1hr and 30min, diffrent movies may vary)to one 80 min cd-r. And If someone can give me a site that can help me do this step by step that would be great to. Thanks in advance. matt

  2. You can probably convert a movie to DivX AVI and have it fit on one 80min/700MB CD with reasonable quality.

This disc will only play on any stand-alone player, only on PCs.

There are guides at this site and doom9's site: http://www.doom9.net

  3. If you use a bitrate calculator you can find the necessary bitrate to fit movie on 1 CDR. For 90min that's video=1051kbit/s and audio=128kbit/s (I find audio at 128 is good enough). This can produce a 'pretty good encode' esp at TMPGenc 2pass VBR or CCE 3pass VBR.

But CDRs are so cheap I just use 2 and a higher bitrate
