  1. I'm getting the following error message in VirtualDub after loading an AVI file and pressing the play button:
    "VideoSourceAVI error: The source image format is not acceptable. (error code -2)"
    I think it has something to do with the codec used. What aspect of the image format is not acceptable? What does the -2 mean? Thanks for all replies.

    No one will know. What it really means is you don't have the right codec installed. Drop it in GSPOT and reply what GSPOT thinks it is?

  3. I don't know what the error message means, but download either gspot or the avicodec and see what they tell you about your film. They will tell you if you have the proper codecs installed and what codecs are needed for the film.
