Hi,
I have two Matrox 7200 rpm UDMA Mode 6 capable hard disks installed.
My BIOS settings are set to Auto and suggests that Mode 6 is available.
My motherboard/chip set supports Mode 6.
However when I check the Advanced Settings for the Primary IDE Channel Properties is suggests that it is using Mode 5 (this is also backed up by using SiSoft Sandra to verify the mode).
Any ideas on how to force it to use Mode 6 - driver update perhaps?
I'm running Xp Home sp1.
Cheers
Mark
