Please teach me how to Add a sub to DVD

I am new to burning DVDs so I need a step by step detailed instruction. (especially ifoedit and vobedit). I have a french movie Taxi3 (Region 2, NTSC). It has French soundtrack and only has Japanese sub, so I want to add English sub I downloaded from a site. Converting the sub format is no problem using sub station alpha but I don't know which format it needs to be and how to add it when I burn the DVD. I've read some instructions on adding sub but didn't make much sense to me. So please explain in detail. Thanks.

I don't think many are going to be willing to do this for you or "explain in detail" when there are already guides that do that, complete with pictures, and links to what's needed.

Perhaps if you read through those and post a specific question about whatever doesn't make sense to you, you'll have a better chance at help. But, always try a search here first. The question(s) may already have been asked and answered at least once.
