  1. I see when you use ATI's player you can't watch VCD 2.0s, is there anything I can do to watch this vcd 2.0 I have? I have a Radeon... apparantly ;-?.
Oh and I checked for my Samsung SM308 combo DVD/ CDRW 4x8x8x32 drive and couldn't find it AT ALL on the compat list.

  2. ATI software will play vcd 1.0's and svcd's, but not vcd 2.0's. My sound card came with a player that will play the vcd 2.0 format. It is called Creative PlayCenter 2 and came with my SoundBlaster Live! Platinum 5.1 card. I'm sure that if you cannot get this player, you can find other players that will handle the vcd 2.0 format.

  3. yes, I've d/led I-On vcd player 1.0 since I don't want to play the dat file with WMP every time... but vcd player won't play. In fact when I manually start it, vcd player just sits there, unresponsive (except it'll let me exit via the x). I've looked in the man but can't figure it out.

  5. If you want to play a vcd2 (not svcd) simply open the dat file with the ATI file player program.
