Hi. I just picked up a DV camcorder. After I transfered the 10 minutes of video to my PC (It made an MPEG-1 file) the file size is 320 megs.
How can I compress this so I can be able to put the videos online? I always see rather big videos that are anywhere from 3-5 minutes that are less than 10 megs. How can I do this?
I really have no idea. I checked through the guides here, but nothing is really helping. Can anyone help??
Thanks,

1) Reencode and resize to a smaller resolution. This allows you to get away with using a lower bit rate.
2) Reencode to AVI DivX/XviD. The compression is more efficient, allowing you a lower bit rate while maintaing quality.
