    Hi

I'm capturing using Huffyuv and its quite crisp clear
however it captures at around 25/30gb per hour...

is it possible to increase the compression?
because there aren't much options in the ..options menu..

    thanks

  2. If you're compressing in RGB mode you could save a little by converting to YUY2. But that's about it.

If you want more compression you'll have to use another codec. Lagarith is lossless and compresses better than Huffyuv. For even more compression you're looking at DV, MJPEG, etc.

i'm not using divx /xvid because @ 768x576 they drop frames
huffyuv is barely using half cpu process

  4. Divx 6 is pretty fast if you set Encoding Mode to Fastest. Use 1-pass Quality Based encoding with a quantizer of 2 or 3. Disable B frames (automatic if you use Fastest) and set the keyframe interval to 1 for better editability.
