I have tried a few of the CompUSA's +R discs, they are made by Optodisc and rated at 2.4X. They worked fine on one of my DVD players, but the picture pixilated in the middle of the movie in another player, although it is a 5-year old player. So you may want to try a few first on your own player before deciding. Personally I wouldn't pay more than a dollar per disc for these discs and wait for CompUSA to dump them when they are eventually being replaced 4X discs. Just my two cents.

I use the CompUSA brand DVD-R which burn at 2x on my Sony burner. I also use them in my Panasonic E50 recorder. BTW they are on sale today for $7.89 for a pack of 10 with slim jewel case.

Burned 30-40 CompUSA DVD+R discs with no problem. They're still OPTODISCOP1 as of last week's batch...

I've been using the CompUSA DVD-R Discs since they came out and I've never had a problem with them. I have used them to copy a few movies using DVDXCOPY Express and they always come out with excellent quality. They also work great with Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creater. I also promise I don't work there Haha.
