    Hi, I recently moved to the States and took my almost brand new DVD Recorder. It is a Sony RDR-HX725. I solved the "Power"-Problem, but can still not figure out how to set it up. It seems not to work. Can anyone give me a hint on how to set up that DVD Recorder to my US Cable Box and TV? Or does a European DVD Recorder does not work over here?
    I have a Codefree Recorder!
    I would appriciate any help that you can give me!

    European DVD recorder is PAL. USA is NTSC. Your recorder will not work in the USA. Sorry....

    You may be able to record with the RCA/Cinch connectors....but you wont be able to use the tuner. I'm not sure if Sony's can record both NTSC and PAL.
    I have an American DVD Recorder here in Germany and I use my VCR tuner then out to my DVD Recorder....but my Philips can record in both NTSC and PAL....but not with the tuner.
