  1. Im making a backup of a dvd. The original DVD has a kind of movie menu screen where there is animation.

Is there any way to include this is the copy of my DVD, my instinct tells me no but I was hoping someone could make me happy and say yes!

is it a dvd-9 or a dvd-5? if it's single layer (dvd-5), you can make an exact backup of it with DVD Decrypter, motion menu and all.

if it's a dvd-9, it's going to depend on the tools and method you use to back it up. If you compress everything with DVD Shrink or DVD2One, you will end up with all the menus, extras, etc. - you may notice a slight decline in quality.

if you decide to use other tools, I'm not sure how those would affect the motion menus - some methods would strip it out entirely, and you'd just be left with the movie, nothing else.

Check the DVD Rip and Convert guides on the left hand side of the screen.
