When I output (a .dat or .mpg file) from my computer to TV using WINDVD, the screen size adjusts to fit on my television (which is ok). But the audio is out of sync. If I play the the file using WMP then it does NOT automatically adjust to fit my television, but the audio is in sync.
Is this expected? and can I correct this in anyway?
Obviously I can manually change the window size of WMP, but this certainly isn't a convenient solution.

Have you had the chance to test the DAT,(s)vcd file on a friend's DVD player to see if the sound sync issue is the same there?

No, I haven't. That is actually part of my problem. I don't have a real DVD-player. I have PS2, x-box, and my computer. My dad has a DVD-player though which might work. It is a paradox for me because if I can't get these VCD's to work then I will buy a DVD-player, but I can't tell if they work until I have one to try them on.
