Which is the best software to cut and join MPEG-1 videos?
Don't tell me Virtualdub cause it doesn't allow to cut videos in Stream Direct Copy option (sound and video).

I use Video Studio 6. It has worked so well for me, I may not even bother to upgrade.
Hello. -
I use TMPGEnc's merge & cut tool to edit video(very fast) but I use VideoStudio to edit & encode different bitrate videos.

Firtsly, thanks all for answering.
I mean, if I have a MPEG-1 vid capture from TV with ads, I have to cut the vid portions without ads, save them and finally join all. One portion by one. It's a bit labourius.
Is there another possibility?
In Virtualdub (with AVI vids) you can choose a vid portion and remove, so you can get the "cleaned" video very fast.
I think this is not possible due to with MPEG-1 format processing is required. Am I right?

I find this works best. Using TMPGenc to cut/join tyo edit out commercials. Only other way is to set you encodes up with separate source ranges. Then run a batch encode. THEN join the separatel-yencoded pieces. Save encode time too this way. No need to encode crap you don't want.Originally Posted by AyrtonsoI'm not online anymore.
