AC3 fix

i have extracted audio from an avi with ac3 using virtual dub. can anyone help me with using AC3 fix so i can use it to convert to mpeg2

Please clarify:do you want to convert the Audio to mpeg-2 (that's a Video format) or do you want it to mp2 (mpeg-1 layer-2, which is an Audio format).
Or do you want to convert the avi to mpeg2 and remux the audio later?
You can use Besweet or Headac3e to convert from ac3 to mp2.

To use ac3fix, open a command prompt(start menu->program->accessories) and type:
c:\program\ac3fix.exe c:\audiofile.ac3 c:\fixedaudiofile.ac3

replace the c:\program\ where you extracted/have the ac3fix.exe
replace the c:\audiofile.ac3 with the ac3 file name and location

after it you will have a new working ac3 file(in this example called fixedaudiofile.ac3)

I think you also can use besliced, just drag the ac3 on it and it will create a new working one. besliced is included in besplit, http://dspguru.doom9.org/
