  1. I am transfering Old Vhs home movies to Dvd through a dv camera to my hard drive to hand out to my family

I do wish to cut up some scenes, take scenses from more than one Vhs tape. ( Would like to eventually add stills slide show maybe music but this last is just a wish)

    I currently have

Ulead Movie factory ver 1 retail version I have used this with good results on Mpg2 input If i only used one straight clip, audio would be out of sync on the second clip
Ulead Dvd picture show ver 1 retail version
Pinacle Studio Vers 7 came with DC10 + card that didn't work on my computer
Vegas Video 3.0 LE came with Canopus ADVC1394
Win Producer 3 DVD came with Canopus ADVC 1394
Video Studio 6 came with ADS Instant DVD

I am willing to put out $50 bucks on Tmpgenc

Which of the listed above would you recomend be the easiest to learn and do what I want with decent results. I played very little with the software only because the capture devices didn't work to well. Now I am just transfering through the ADVC 1394 firewire port

Windows Xp Pentium 4 1.7GH more than enough memory
I have an 80G 7200 dedicated drive for video
I use Nero to burn to DVD

I think the Video Studio 6 was the easiest to learn. And it does all the functions you need, even capturing from your camera in DV.
    Hello.
