  1. Hi All

I have converted a film on to a CDRW disk, and on my own DVD player I can watch the film no problem.

However, when it comes to playing in a friends DVD player the disk is automatically ejected and does not play.

Is this a problem with the player not being setup for Multi Region?

    Many thanks

His DVD player might not support VCD playback.

  4. If there is it will be in the hacks section

It might just be the type of disc, try it on a standard cd-r

My sony dvd player will not play cdrw's but will play normal cdr's.

    Good luck :P

It's most likely that the DVD player doesn't read CD-RWs. The standard for DVD players is to support VCD, so a CD-R should be playable.
The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.

And here is a user comment.
"This player is one of the old ones. It does not play most VCD's. I have tried burning with, Nero, Ulead, and Dazzle. Non of these VCD's play. Also the loading time is extrememly slow. Its time to upgrade."
