here's my problem.
downloaded divx.avi. files, split them with program called "avi splitter." burn to vcd using nerovision express. video is perfect, audio is perfect, for only the first 3 seconds, then the audio stops.
have tried this like forty times. different kinds of files, different discs, different software. nothing seems to work. i am absolutely going crazy.
the vcds always burn fine, but these divx files that i am trying to use won't fit on one disk. so i have to split them, and i must be screwing something up here. the audio cuts out the same way when played on a computer, or the dvd player. but when i first got the files, and even after i split them, they play perfect in a media player. but once burned to disc, audio cuts out. help help help help please!!!! i need to learn how to do this, i need to be able to sleep again. thanks

When i download DIVx AVI files I convert them to Mpeg though TMPenc. The only problem I have had since is hving to high an audio bitrate. So this means that my audio is choppy on some of my DVD players. As long as the audio quality is down to128 I find this method worked for me.

I get the same using Tmpeg to make SVCDs. I really don't know what the problem is.
