Hi,
I just converted a DVD to AVI using AutoGK. Thats all fine and works however the subtitles are out of sync in that they are delayed 6 seconds. Instead of re-doing all the subtitles manually i just want to add 6 seconds of blank or a picture at the beginning of the AVI just to get the film back in sync again.
Is there anyway to do this?
Or is there somewhere on AutoGK where i can specify when i want the subtitles to come in? Cos i can't see it.
Thanks for your help
J

Hi-
Although it's possible to add 6 seconds of black to the beginning, delaying the subs by -6 seconds will be much easier. Open the IDX in SubtitleCreator (Tools->Manipulate SUP and VobSub->Open Sub). Hit the "Delay" button to set the delay followed by Save Sub (use the drop-down box to save the IDX rather than as a SUP file).
It'll adjust the timing of all the subs by the same 6 seconds, or whatever the delay turns out to be. That's one way to do it, although I suppose there are others. No, there's no way to do this in AutoGK. -
sorry, i just realised i made a mistake. I want the subtitles to start at 19secs but they are coming in at 25secs so are in fact DELAYED 6 secs.
will Subtitlecreator work for this too? -
Yes, it can create both positive and negative delays. You haven't said anything different, though. It's still a negative 6 second delay - you still want them to play 6 seconds earlier in the video.
