  1. hey on kvcd.net they have a tamplete where you can fit 180 minutes and a 120 mnutes on one cd and i was woundering if that goes for divx files to or do i have to do a bunch of stuff to make it work on divx?

  2. The KVCD templates encoding the video in MPEG-1 or MPEG-2.

    They are not DivX templates.

  3. You dont need templates to change the size of a divx file.
    Use a divx bitrate calculator to tell you the required bitrate (you tell it you want 2 hours on a 700mb cdr, and it will let you know the bitrate to encode at), then in virtual dub, set video compression to the divx codec, and press configure. enter the bitrate you got from the calculator. Also, setting audio compression to a more highly compressed form reduced file size alot.

    Try different bitrates and different audio compression, and see whats best for you. (make a 1minute clip to test these things on - no point waiting to encode whole movies just to experiment)
