I made a somewhat annoying discovery about MovieFactory. I understand the bit where the imported MPEG has to be a lower bitrate than specified in MovieFactory or MF will try to re-render. My new discovery is that MF appears to check for compliance with its selected MPEG video and encoding when you add the clip to the time sequence. I have discovered this after encoding my video with TMPGENC, editing the clips, creating a menu, and then trying to create the disk. It popped up with the message rendering might take a while. Annoying. I notice the default audio is set to LPCM while my audio is MPEG. I change the settings. Still wants to render.

I then start a new project. I specify a higher video bit rate and MPEG audio in MF. I import my MPEG and now MF does not try to render. Anyone else discover anything similar? Recreating the project will not be a big deal but it is annoying.

Any way to save the encoding parameters and the 'Quick Eject' option setting? If the 'quick eject' feature is not compatible, why make it the stupid default?
