ok see, Vdub doesnt capture nor save any file on MPEG stream.. If you want to get a MPEG file put of it then do the following...
Open up Vdub, and then goto (Video -> source) and select your tv system, once that is done, goto (video -> compression) and make sure you installed "Huffy Codec", if you did it will appear on the list. Now you choose that and click on ok, then goto (video -> set format) and choose your video resolution you would like to capture,.. NOTE: if your running under a 1.4 CPU i siggest not going higher then 352*240...there are options there but there are few..if you want custome resolution then goto (video -> set custom format) and choose your format there.. now i suggest you use YUV2 instead of RGB, those options will appear right under or besode where you chose your resolotion.. Once that is all done you just press F6 and it will capture the video in (C:\capture.avi)..
Ok before you do anything of what I mentioned above, the first thing you need to do is open vdud and goto (file -> capture AVI) and then goto (video -> and choose preview)... then you do what i mentiojned above and then you can press F6 and you got yourself a AVI, then what you will want to do is close Vdub, then open it again and goto (file - Open video file) and you would choose your capture.avi file and click on (audio -> and choose no audio) and then you would goto (video -> and choose your huffy again, then you would goto (file -> and click on save avi) and you would save the avi as a video source only.... once that is done (aprx 10-20 min) you would close vdub and open it again and open video file again and this time you would just goto (file -> save wav) and you would choose a destination to choose your wav and itll save it..wont take that long.....
After that its simple.... open up tmpgenc (mpeg1/2) encoder and you would load the video file and then the audio file and you would goto settings and choose if you want it to be a svcd or vcd, then you encode and you got yourself a VCD/SVCD>..... HOPE I HELPED???
