    I ripped a movie with smart ripper. Then I converted it with DVDX. When I try to put the movie in movie factory it says that it is the wrong file type. It is mpeg format. I don't understand what is wrong.

    Are you creating vcd,svcd or dvd?
    What is the error msg?
    What settings did you use in tmpgenc?

    In dvdX if making compliant mpeg's you should click the button to check standard so that the output is fully compliant for VCD/SVCD

    Sounds like you made a non standard mpeg
