I have been trying to export a custom size movie file to 720 x 576 import a blank picture sized 720 x 576 into the movie file or viceversa. Result is that the movie file which is smaller than the picture is placed in the top left corner of canvas, instead of being resized and centered (maintaining aspect ratio). Where is the error? I use latest version of quicktime pro.

Resize your blank picture to 720x404 for a 16:9 film or 720x540 for a 4:3 film.

I have tried, but my movie file always remains on the top left corner of canvas... could you please post step by step operations?
Thanks a lot! -
What I've done before is this:
1. Use some software (I used Microsoft Powerpoint X) to create a .PICT file of a black image, resized to 720x540.
2. Open this image.pict file in Quicktime 6 Pro.
3. From Finder, drag and drop the 4:3 .M2V file onto the Quicktime window containing image.pict.
4. Export to MPEG-2, video only.
