    get DVD2AVI
it will extract the sound for you and convert it to WAV, and create a d2v file that you can load into TMPGenc

    you can get DVD2AVI from
    http://arbor.ee.ntu.edu.tw/%7Ejackei/dvd2avi/
Once you have it, go to FILE->OPEN
select the VOB file you want
    hit F4
Check the guides on here if you need anymore help.. there is plenty of info on it

    Why not ?
    TMPGEnc Browse > (*.*) > .VOB

You will need an Mpeg 2 filter for this to work, like Ligos

However, why are you not using the IFO to convert all of them at once ?

    Select SVCD for output

Yea, but then you need to extract and convert the audio too
DVD2AVI will demux & decode to WAV that can be loaded into TMPG

    Thats why...
He said he has VOBs on a CDR that he wants to convert to SVCD..
last time i checked (s)VCDs used 44.1K for audio... How do you know these VOBs arent ac3? TMPGenc can use the video from the VOB, but not the audio..
I suppose he could demux the vobs, use besweet to convert to mp2/wav and then load the m2v file into tmpgenc, but using DVD2AVI seems alot simpler and quicker
