no sound with AIW 8500DV capture

Ok short and simple.
capture card is AIW 8500dv
win2000 operating system.

I am capturing in visual studio and although i can hear the sound when its capturing during playback i have none. All wires seem to be hooked up correct not sure what the deal is.

Maybe my capture drivers are still messed, i really never had such a problem with drivrer arghhhhhhh

any suggestions why i have no sound?

Got it.... didnt have line in selected in recording options..
