You proberly need the latest FFDshow filter, Get it HERE

It should play fine in WMPlayer.

I don't know about anyone else but i enconde Xvid exactly the same way i encode Divx AVI'S

    See if this works.
Uninstalled all DivX codecs and xvid codecs,(Nimo Pack etc.)
You can then install xvid codecs from here:
    http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html

Then install all DivX codecs separat (Not from Nimo).
    http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divxcodec.html

After that install Nimo Pack but uncheck all divx codecs and the xvid codec and also uncheck a direct show filter which is Ffdshow DirectShow
    Install Nimo from here:
    http://www.btinternet.com/~nimosiro/

    Now all should work fine!

By the way,AC3 comes with the Nimo Pack and I installed this with
Nimo Pack Build 8,not the new Build 9.

  4. I had the same problem for about a week. Would get either green blotches or mplayer would perform an illegal operation and shutdown.

I have a GeForce3. Tried the G400 Filter and everything worked fine using Windows Media Player 7.

Nimo warns to not use unless you have a G400 graphics card(Matrox). Digital Digest reports that GeForce cards may also benefit from this filter.

The experts, (which I am not), may disagree with this, but it was the only thing that worked for me.
