  1. I have a problem.
I downloaded two avi files, both big files(700mb). When i tryed to play the files nothing worked! The files are not working. I have all the plugins. Is there a program that fic avi/divx files? I have divxfix, VirtualDub, and TMPGEnc.Plus but nothing seem to work.... or i can't use the programs...

  2. Most likley problem is you are missing the correct codecs. Download gspot, it will tell you what codecs are needed. You can then download and install those to play the movie.

One other possibility, esp if you got the movies from one of the P2P networks, is that they are fakes. There are quite a few about esp masquerading as very recent movies!

  3. I have the most resent divx updates, but the movie is using an older codec, but that can't be a problem?

But is there any programs that can "fix" broken avi files?

  4. You can use your DivFix or Virtual Dub. What error messages come up when you try to fix your AVIs?

  5. I have tryed to use the programs, and i get error msg when i try to use them, and if i try to save the avi on viritualdub, it saves it, but only the first 40 sec of the film clip! On Viritualdub try to Scan Video stream for errors, and it give the error msg:1 frames is bad.5529 frames good but undecodable!
When i try to use divxfix it did not fix anything. At first one of the clips worked, some parts of it. After i tryed to chek it it stopped working! The other clip i tryed to fix with dicxfix...and with no luck.....

  6. It sounds like your files have got a lot of bad frames. You can either try to fix them (delete if necessary) using this guide OR try to download those files again.

    Regards.
