I have been trying to figure out why Maestro will "sometimes" import chapters, and other time it won't. I have just recently experimented with subtitles, and the two times I have tried, I have been unsuccessful. I tried importing subs for attack of the clones because I heard there are scenes where you need the subs, and when I imported them, all 1,300 or so of them were imported, but I got some type of "asset overlapping" error, which I still don't know why. I could add the chapters with Attack of the clones though by using Chapter Xtractor. Then with Halloween resurrection, I couldn't add the chapters. Maestro gave me an I-Frame error. I have been searching up and down for posts which could help me with this, and I think I found one but it is difficult to understand. It looks like if I understand right, the problem with the subtitles is when there is some type of timecode listed instead off all zero's. Like Halloween the timecode stamp was 59:58:00, apparently, if I understand right, I could make that all zero's and my subtitles will import correctly, right? I hope so, because only 321 of the 1,300 are importing now. Then when I try to add chapters to Maestro for Halloween Resurrection or a lot of other movies, I get the I-Frame error. This post I will paste seems to explain how to correct the chapters I-Frame error, but I don't understand it in detail. Here it is:
I understand everything except when they write 1000*5+... I think i solved the problem about the Chapters:
Do the following in sequence:
-Import Your VIDEO in the Video time line in MAESTRO.
-Look at the Video TIMEstamp OFFSET (under the WALL CLOCK) and note
down the time it shows : i.e 00.59.58.00
-Use Chapter Xtractor to exctract chapters from the IFO file ... but before
opening the ifo set the OFFSET with the value in MS of the TIMESTAMP
OFFSET you read in MAESTRO (ie : 00.59.58.00 = (1000*5+
(59*1000*60) ms -> 3598000ms)
-Now open the IFO and save the Chapters as CHP MAESTRO.
-Import the CHAPTERLIST and IT' S OK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Work !!
(59*1000*60) ms -> 3598000ms) I don't understand what that means, or more importantly, what I am supposed to type in Chapter Xtractor. There are 2 seperate windows next to each other in Chapter Extractor by offset: both are set to 0. I am assuming I am supposed to type something in one or BOTH of those windows and it will fix this chapter importing problem, but I don't know what to type. If anyone can help me out with one or both of these problems, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance for any help.
