  1. I have a DVD-Burner using Nero 5.5.9 with a Pioneer 2x burner A04 I believe, (writing this at work). The movie burns fine to the DVD, but when playing the DVD on my standalone APEX AD5131, it starts out fine for about a hour or so, and then just starts freezing, and can't jump thru chapters. The only way of getting out of it is shutting down my DVD player.

What is the better DVD-R media TDK or Ritek?

    Perfect playback.

Freezeing, pausing, and stuttering are almost always media compatibility problems. TDK is the better of the 2 medias but is very expensive compaired to some of the great prices on Ritek G03 disk out there.

Which one did you burn with thats giving you this problem?

Personally I've had great compatibility with the Ritek disk.

  4. I also use Ritek DVD-R and I'm not having any trouble with them. Are you sure that you have true Ritek media? I know that most Ritek DVD-R's are unbranded so you are never sure what you are getting. I've been purchasing media from www.atdiscount.com for about a year now and have not had any trouble. Never the less, they will guarantee the media. Try them out. I did.
