  1. I am new to this forum and to video capture. I have been reading these pages for a couple of weeks and have gotten great information here. Thanks to all who have posted.

My question is... I capture TV when I am awy from my computer. MMC 7.6 has a great TV scheduler. My problem is that, in reading your forum, I found that AVI capture with HuffyUV is the best then encode to "whatever." However MMC is very limited in the cap resolutions. I want to capture @ 352x480, but there is no setting in MMC for that res. Higher resolutions just give me a file that takes too long to deal with.

I also use VirtualVCR and it has unlimited settings, but no start timer, only an end timer.

Is there a hack for MMC to get any AVI resloution? Or is there a better TV capture program I should try.

    Thanks for your help. :P

Actually, you can capture a Huffy AVI with Virtualdub. There is a program that can automatically start it for you! Check it out, I hope it works for you!

  3. I should have stated my system. I have an AIW 7500 under W2K. Virtual Dub will not give me a a TV capture. It says there is no device. Maybe there is a driver I am missing under W2K. Not sure.
