  1. Hi all ,
Just came back from thailand and took about 500 digital pictures and about 20 clips and i want to mave a svcd/vcd/anything with about 8 pictures menus (for each city i've been) that when i enter the specific city i can see a slideshow of the pictures from there (by choosing the picture of the slideshow) or see clip by clip (by choosing it).
I want the most interactive software with a background sound for each menu or slideshow.

I don't mind about the price of it ...

Please recommend me the best software for me

btw - if you want to see my gallery it's in http://www.pbase.com/lironh/thailand .

  4. lironh, those are some awesome pictures!

For the authoring portion, I would recommend DVD Workshop. It is relatively easy to use, completely customizable, and you can try the demo at Ulead.com

However, I'm not certain of it's slideshow abilities. I currently use Vegas Video 3 for creating my slideshows (and for editing video). It depends on how much you want to work with your footage and pictures. Vegas may be difficult to learn for newbies. Maybe someone else can recommend an easier slideshow program.

Remember, the authoring program (DVD Workshop) is mainly used for making the menus/chapters, etc. You will probably need another program for converting the pictures to video (w/ bkg music) and for editing your video clips.

Also, see Craig's Poll for Authoring programs HERE
