I've been encoding hundreds of avi's fine till the other day....it just crapped out on me. I use win2k pro with CCE 2.5 and DVD2SVCD 1.1.0 build 1.
As usual, I ran an avi through dvd2svcd, and when the video encoding portion starts, i recieve the error "AVIFileOpen("C:\example.avs"): According to the registry, the type of file specified on AVIFileOpen does not have a handler to process it.
I've ttried reinstalling DVD2SVCD, reinstalling CCE, using different versoins of cce, uninstalling everything then using doom9's AviResetAll, uing different avi's...i just get the same error everytime. I Know Avisynth is properly installed im sure, having tried the "version in notepad" thing several times.
Can someone help me? I'm about to rip my own eyeballs out over this.

Let me add that I've tried normal frameserving with avisynth to cce 2.50(where i open the avi, save the ecl and transfer the avs location over) and i still get the same handler error!
