    Hi everyone,

This is my first post here. I am so glad that I found this site. I am currently using as a mobile rig a Panasonic PV-8000 VCR. I have had it professionally cleaned and serviced. It works as good as it did when new. My particular unit was made in May of 1985. Pretty good for a 41 year old bit of consumer video gear

I need suggestions where to find the carrying case and the carrying strap for this unit. Google, duck duck go, and e-bay have not been my friends on this one. The Panasonic Part number for the case was PV-H80. I do not know what the part number for the strap is. I am not looking for a freebee. I will happily pay a reasonable amount of money for these things. Used is fine as long as it will not fall apart.

BTW, I am currently using a Panasonic PV-958 camera, but will probably switch to a 975 when I can get it serviced (it has a weak tube) because the lenses use a C-mount. I have a nice collection of C-mount glass.

    Thank you very much,

    Joe

Original case is hard to find.
Try searching Aliexpress for a carrying case that is similar to the original.

Try contacting https://www.youtube.com/@CathodeRayDude . He collects old video equipment and may be able to at least point you in the right direction.

Also try contacting www.repc.com. They're only in Washington state, but videos about their stores shows a lot of vintage stuff.

Couple of guys off the top of my head that were/are in the professional side of video production, lordsmurf and cornucopia may be able to help.
