I asked io data a long time ago.
    This is what they said

  3. What they say is true, the software is different, but they don't specifically say whether there are different hardware revisions is my take. Could also be whoever they have answering questions doesn't actually know. A factory isn't going to inform every employee at iodata of possible hardware changes, or if could even be outsourced tech support that just uses existing support articles to answer questions which is probably fairly likely whether they are outsourced tech support or not. Only reason to really tell tech support about a hardware change is if they got a bunch of new complaints that they didn't get before and they might then link it back to something that changed in the hardware.People usually don't call tech support because the new product they bought works better than the older one they have.

The Video decoder chip used is Techwell 9910
I don't think they changed anything.

I don't see why they would? Does anyone have a newer version that doesn't have the Techwell 9910 video decoder chip inside it?

The card is made by IO Data factory in Taiwan.
The support team is in Japan. I would think they would tell head office of chip changes or revisions because costs could increase and when Io data Japan would ask the factory why costs have gone up io data Taiwan would tell them of the changes.

I think device manager might tell what hardware is in what because if anything was going to be changed it would have a different number.showing as the device id in device manager I think?
The drivers have changed from v111 to v 112 .
