  1. Has anyone made this combo work?
If so, can you please post workflow, what to download to make this Magix Vegas 22 (before Boris purchase version) and free Voukoder (core + connector). Thanks for any input.

If you want to render to mp4 (or another format), then with this combo you need to:
    1. Export the video in the target format (without audio).
    2. Export the audio as a 32-bit WAV (or 16-bit - whichever you prefer).
    3. Combine both exports using ffmpeg, something like this:
    ffmpeg -i video.mp4 -i audio.wav -map 0:v -map 1:a -c:v copy -c:a aac -b:a 192k output,mp4

When rendering directly to mp4, the audio will be shifted by about 3 frames and the last 3 audio frames will be cut off.

Anyway, check it out, because I don't know exactly what version of Vegas you're using.
You can export video+audio in the first step, then merge with wav and check under VirtualDub if it is ok.
If they are offset from each other, then the track from wave will be the correct one.

  4. Thanks,
so I'm assuming you have actually version 22 and Voukoder. Was there anything specific to install that setup, did you "uninstall" previous Voukoder and install that particular setup, or you use it without uninstalling previous versions?

I don't remember how I did it anymore, but rather I installed the Voukoder on top of an existing installation.
Connector only installs for a given version of Vegas anyway.
