I haven't backed on on optical media for a while and use to just use BD25 Panasonic discs. I thought it might be a good idea to get back to optical discs for max data safety. But now there are very little drives anywhere in online stores.
Can someone give some online sites that sell a good new drives for Sony BDXL128GB discs that ship int please.
I was looking at the Pioneer BDRS13UBK but I cant find it anywhere.

    cheers.

5 1/4-inch Pioneer Blu-ray drives are very difficult if not impossible to find in the US too, even on Pioneer's website. Perhaps Pioneer is no longer making them or is not making them for export.

[Edit] I have confirmed that Pioneer has recently ceased making optical drives, optical disc players, and optical disc recorders.

From reddit: "Pioneer has reportedly pulled out of the optical drive business, including Blu-ray and DVD recorders, after 30 years of manufacturing such drives.

The company has transferred shares in its optical drive subsidiary Pioneer Digital Design and Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (PDDM) to Shanxi Lightchain Technology Industrial Development Co., Ltd. in China."
