    It's possible to encode video in mjpeg 10 bit?

    It's possible but why?There's newer codec that's much better to encode in 10 bit,I don't think any program that works with mjpeg 8 bit will work with 10 bit.

    I know of NO mjpeg codecs that support higher than 8bit. No point, since mjpeg has long been superceded.

This is more complicated - 10 bit DCT precision or 10 bit YCbCr? 10 bit DCT precision MJPEG is supported by ffmpeg if i recall correctly (for MJPEG ffmpeg use same encoder as for MPEG-1 & MPEG-2) - 10 bit precision YCbCr is probably not supported by any open source MPEG (MJPEG) encoder/decoder known to me.
    Personally i don't think MJPEG is outdated - simple, efficient, can be encoded / decoded with low CPU usage.
