Hello, is it possible to know the bitdepth in .ac3 files?
I have some dvd audios I'm changing speed for editing purposes with useac3to, and I want to keep all quality I could.
Could you help me?

There is no bitdepth in codecs such as AC3 - they limited by accuracy of math transformations - usually math transformations are performed with float 32 bit so this roughly corresponds to 23 bit integer.

I believe the op meant bitrate,not bitdepth.
I think,therefore i am a hamster. -
