  1. Hello, is it possible to know the bitdepth in .ac3 files?
I have some dvd audios I'm changing speed for editing purposes with useac3to, and I want to keep all quality I could.
    Could you help me?

  4. There is no bitdepth in codecs such as AC3 - they limited by accuracy of math transformations - usually math transformations are performed with float 32 bit so this roughly corresponds to 23 bit integer.

This is not obvious and bitdepth seem to be more "technical advanced" term than bitrate but as i'm not native English then perhaps you are right on this.
Nevertheless OP get answers for both.
