Hi, hope you are having a great time in those last days of 2024.
Nonetheless, I need to share my troubles.

I'm trying to capture a tape i had captured 2 month ago (no problem while doing so)
played back by a Hi8 Camcorder with an August VGB100 Capture Card.
I did this multiple times, already have amarectv set properly.
But today it seems like color doesn't want to get captured properly.

Instead of having the usual clean background:

I am greeted by this horrible mess:

For the demonstration I attached a few seconds of what comes out
in camera mode (it's the same thing when playing back a tape):

The camera works great and wouldn't do that, I used it recently and worked like a charm,
I tried switching between Composite/S-Video, changed amarectv settings.
The problem is definitely between my capture card and the computer.
I already saw such artefacts when capturing a VHS tape where some parts were missing color information,
    here it's not the case.
But what could have gone wrong ?
    Thank you for considering

Being located in France, this is a SECAM chroma artifact, Are you capturing in SECAM? If so switch back to PAL.

Oh right ! That's what I thought about in the first case.
I tried switching in "Device Settings" to PAL_B in amarectv, but amarectv switches back to the SECAM_L instantly.
Seems like there is a detection problem from amarectv.
I'll try again during the day.
