This error is related to your connection, not titles or commands. My5 can be aggressive towards proxies, so if you're using one that's most likely the reason. Or maybe you're using too many threads/workers and it triggered something?

Either way, it works fine on my end.

OK must be my set-up then, although I'm not using proxies and have thread_count 1 in n_m3u8dl_re. Bizarrely some d/ls work and some don't. And the ones that don't always fail at the audio track. Video and Subs always come down without an error. I'll keep turning the stones....

I'm not sure how informational it is in this case, but you can try `devine --debug dl` for a more detailed output.

Don't be afraid to post bug reports. I can't catch all the potential errors by myself, so getting input from others is always helpful.

I appear to have found a bug! When multiple audio tracks exist, it seems the wrong one is downloaded...

That's because the AD track is a smidgen bigger in size so devine thinks it's the "best" quality.

Indeed. For other downloaders (requests, aria2c etc) it works as expected.

I think for N_m3u8DL-RE we'll need to figure out how to use the role feature for selecting audio\video:

Ahh, yes. Indeed, in this particular instance, it does look like a tagging issue.

Looking again at @SaintyUK's screenshot, it is in fact downloading the "correct" audio track (133kbps vs 134kbps - ignoring the one technically tagged AD, despite a higher bitrate). I believe Devine ignores AD tracks as a rule?

As per: https://github.com/devine-dl/devine/issues/48 "Currently AD (Audio-Described) audio tracks are explicitly ignored from the download code with no way to use them."

While ALL4 is known to pull some weird shit, in this case it was the track selection in N_m3u8DL-RE that failed to get the proper track.

I just pushed an update that should improve things, one of which is choosing main role if it exists. Give it a test run and see how it goes.

Without doing -V -A it gives this error:

But, I'm guessing that's due to the subtitles as all other shows download fine.

With -V -A, I get the following on Linux:
