    I'm trying to smooth-out a jerky YT video (snip attached). I've settled on a TFM/TDecimate cycle of 96-26, which seems to have removed all of the duplicates (I tried 25 and a couple of duplicates re-appeared).

    I then applied FrameRateConverter to get back up to 2997, and also RIFE Model 11, but the motion is still a bit jerky.

    Stepping thru, it seems that there is uneven motion between some frames.

    My script:
    Code:
    v=LSMASHVideoSource("H:\Videohelp\Shampistols\Fantastico snip.mp4")
    a=LSMASHAudioSource("H:\Videohelp\Shampistols\Fantastico snip.mp4")

    AudioDub(v,a)

    ConvertToYV12()
    TFM()
    Tdecimate(cycle=96,cycleR=26)

    #FrameRateConverter(NewNum=30000, NewDen=1001, Preset="slower")

    z_ConvertFormat(pixel_type="RGBPS", colorspace_op="709:709:709:l=>rgb:709:709:f")
    Rife(gpu_thread=1, model=11, fps_num=30000, fps_den=1001, sc=true, sc_threshold=0.12)
    z_ConvertFormat(pixel_type="YUV420P8", colorspace_op="rgb:709:709:f=>709:709:709:l")

    Prefetch(24)
    The audio is out of sync but I'll deal with that later.

    Does anybody have any suggestions re further smoothing this out?

    And another question: Will the pillarbox bars affect the processing of the script filters?

    Thanks cholla, no, still jerky. There's a few duplicates in yours. Apart from that rotating montage, the worst jerks are during the end section as she moves from side to side.

  4. Hi, I am trying this GUI program called Flowframes https://nmkd.itch.io/flowframes it's free, I found this YouTube video about it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qt7HNKae9e0

    It uses AI to add in more frames to make the video look smoother. I'll see if the results are good but this is taking a few hours (I'm processing the full video)...

    That's a RIFE GUI, and he mentioned RIFE in the first post.

    And it's not AI. That term is used for everything now. My toaster has AI.

  6. @ Alwyn,
    I tried what I did to sync the audio to video in another topic.
    I thought the sync was some better.
    It was worth a try.
    Off topic: I've been busy today installing a new backup camera in my Jeep.
    The old one failed after about 3 years. I have one of those car receivers with a flip out screen.

    I will try to work on a solution.
    The video you posted said "clip".
    Is there a larger video?

    I tried various things for 30 minutes for you.

    You're going to have to use non-automated means to remove bad and dupe frames. On bad sections, where too many frames are missing, you may need to interpolate the section multiple times, then insert that into the longer video. It'll get artifact-y, but it'll at least be smooth, and so your eyes may be able to ignore the brief image degradation.

    It's just a damaged video.

    Attached is where I quit.
