Thank you both so much for your superfast replies! Managed to download all 11 episodes w/o any problems! Am really pleasantly surprised that it worked, had been trying to download/save these videos for several years, but w/o success so far... this forum saved my day!

Very complete & accurate codes: renaming the videos automatically, Dutch subtitle tracks added, HD quality/1080p resolution (well at least for 8/11 episodes), mkv format (which seem to have the avc1 video codec that didn't give me any playback issues in VLC... the mp4 format on the other hand had avc3 which gave an error in VLC). THANKS AGAIN!

I'm also gonna try the script from post #298, bcs this all seems very interesting! Perhaps next time, when trying to download other vids, I can manage to get the keys/codes by myself!

Is there any difference between using the public graphql endpoint versus the token restricted one for vrtmax? They both return valid manifests, unless one returns a higher mpd for the rare video? Didn't find any exception. I've seen them both used by the site.

I don't remember the links anymore but I got it by accident once and used that for all content. And... it seems to be working?

I'm using this one to grab the manifest:

It still needs a token but nothing serious. You can take it straight from cookies using vrtnu-site_profile_vt

And this one to handle any other relevant information about collections:

It needs just the header {'x-vrt-client-name': 'WEB'}. I don't understand the problems involving JWT and other serious data that needs to be generated. I mean, I get the point since you use other endpoints, yeah, but I just don't see the difference between the results. I must be missing something since it can't be that easy and your approach should be the right one. Probably mine misses some higher quality mpd for the random video but I haven't found any exceptions.

Did you use Tampermonkey to find the right PSSH?

I always use the external VTT subtitles because of this. It used to do this last year, then it was fixed for a bit and now it seems to be broken again. I just mux the vtt (after converting it to srt) and call it a day.

Today I decided to automate vrt.be (without looking at widefrog source code, I want to do it by myself).
To get streams a request with vrtPlayerToken was needed, this token can be obtained with a request like this one :

Keep in mind. If you use vrt.be a lot, you might wanna check that token generating algorithm once in a while. I've seen it break once or twice because they changed how the jwt is generated. (A kodi plugin did something similar)
