Videoredo 5, black/white picture with MPG2?

I use Redo 5 since some years, last week it works fine.

But now it shows a strange picture

The preview pictures down looks normal but the standard screen are out of color and have other errors

Any idea?

This mpeg2 video does play normal with media player or vlc player?

Maybe solved now.

I had an complete image of the Installation, restored it and it worked OK.

After some time and restart I had the same problem again. So maybe an Windows-Update?

I had a suspicion and go to the device manager, restored an older driver for the Intel UHD Graphics HD770, one from February 2024, now Redo works again

Strange problem indeed, may be indeed a graphics (preview) issue?
If it happens again you could try editing/saving a clip and see if the resulting file is ok?

If you want to prevent Windows update the intel adapter (or any other device) you can block the updates by device-id:

Normally Updates are good because of some reasons, so I don´t want to avoid it generally.

I've had trouble caused by the Intel driver for my UHD770 in the recent past. An update disabled my "wake up on Mouse/Keyboard movement". Dodgy brothers.

I have some Intel systems @home and @my job, overall I can say I had less driver-trouble with many Intel-systems than a few AMD-systems
